When they're in the Earth's atmosphere, they're called METEORS, but when they're traveling through space, they're called

METEOROIDS!

They are loose rocks dashing and swooshing through the ether of our Solar System. Where do they come from? They are bits and pieces of Asteroids (if they crash into one another - the traffic in the Belt is quite heavy!) or Comets.

This is what they look like from the ISS. Can you even see those space pebbles?

You have probably seen a Meteor shower, but what are Meteorites?

Meteoroid ---> enters atmosphere ---> Meteor ---> reaches ground ---> Meteorite

Watch this video if you are still confused:

So, where can you see Meteors, find Meteorites, and can you catch a Meteoroid? Tell us in the comments below!
